East Bridgewater

The East Bridgewater location of Prophett, Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home is the former home of the town philanthropists Michael and Ellen Roach. Mr. Roach, a well known contractor, has been credited with helping build state highway Route 18 through East Bridgewater. At the time, Route 18 was a major thoroughfare to Cape Cod and South Eastern Massachusetts.

In the 1950's, the Roach family sold the homestead to a funeral director from Whitman, named Bruce Anderton. After several changes of ownership, the last owner, Raymond Zeoli, sold the funeral home to the Chapman family in 2008.

The professional staff, which consists of Mark L. Chapman and Bill Moore have many years of experience in the funeral profession. Each director provides families with information, funeral service options, and most importantly compassion. They pride themselves on providing personalized funeral services tailored to each family’s needs.
