Marstons Mills (John-Lawrence)
John-Lawrence Funeral Home, an icon of Marstons Mills and the villages of Barnstable, was opened by Jack Tolchinsky and Larry Bennett in June of 1983. Jack had moved to the Cape from Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Larry grew up in Hyannis. Together, they created a funeral home where service and affordability were combined with an outstanding memorial environment for families of the community.
Jack passed away in 1991, and Larry continued to own and run John-Lawrence Funeral Home until 2012 when it became part of the locally-owned Chapman, Cole & Gleason family. Bill Chapman now manages John-Lawrence with Greg St. Laurent and most of the same people who have worked there for years. Larry still works at the funeral home on a daily basis and is available by request. Make an appointment with any of the directors using the contact form below, or just drop by.
