My family and I will miss Declan. Always considered an extended member, he brought great joy and comfort to many of us, none more than my mother. His intelligence, warmth, humor and general amazingly-good-guyness will be with us forever. He is firmly in my heart. May your grief be as gentle as possible.

~Some people come into our life and quickly go, some stay for a while, leave footprints on our heart and we are never the same~Flavia Declan was certainly one of these people and will sorely be missed. I cherish my memories and hope that his family finds comfort in the fact, that all that met him, were left better knowing him. Bless his beautiful soul and lots of love to his family at this time and always..

Myself and my 3 daughters would often fly in and my husband would follow later! Declan was always there with his beautiful smile and a big hug! We loved him and seeing his face was alway like “yes, we’re home” we would dive to cape cod and hear all about his wife Bernie and his two kids that we never met but felt like we knew them through his awesome stories!
