Constance J. Oura

1924 ∼ 2019

Constance J. Oura, age 94, of Walpole- formerly of East Bridgewater, died on March 11, 20019 in New Pond Village Assisted Living in Walpole. She was born in Brockton daughter of  the late William and Ethel (Tallman) Jahn. Constance graduated from East Bridgewater High School, class of 1941  and then attended Tufts University where she double majored in music and mathematics. She married Mitsuru Oura also of East Bridgewater and raised their two sons in Florida and New York

Constance was very bright, she loved to read,  enjoyed playing the piano, saxophone, drum and clarinet. She was opinionated and outspoken, kind, and great friend. Constance helped run the library at New Pond Village in Walpole for over 10 years, a job she cherished because of the access to books it provided. She was devoted naturalist who was an active and longtime member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society and a life member of the Massachusetts Horticulture Society.

Constance was the loving wife to the late Mitsuru Oura. Loving mother of Christopher W. Oura and his wife Linda of South Dennis, and Jeffery R. Oura and his wife Lori of Sharon. Oma to Tanya, Trisha, Lindsey and Harrison. Great Oma to Leoura, Mira, Brent , Mathew, William, Joanna . Sister to William Jahn of Texas.
