David John Higgins

1940 ∼ 2018

David J. Higgins, 78, of W. Yarmouth passed away on Friday, Dec. 27th after a lengthy illness.

David was a US Army Veteran and a member of IBEW Local 103 for 30 years.

He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Clark) Higgins for 55 years.

Along with his wife he is survived by: his four sons, Michael Higgins of Yarmouth Port; Christopher Higgins of Hermon, ME; Matthew Higgins and his wife Laurie of Quincy; Timothy Higgins of W. Yarmouth; two sisters, Andrea Mellor and her husband Robert; Kathleen Earle; brother Peter Higgins and six grandchildren, Kevin, Lauren, Nicholas, Scott, Ryan (USMC, serving in Iraq), and Adam.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday January 2nd from 4 – 7pm at the Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Dr., South Yarmouth. A Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday January 3rd at 11am.
