We are saddened and grieving the loss of Jane Dorsey who after a long illness died August 1, 2019. Born Feb. 17, 1955 to Dr. Joseph and Blanch Dorsey of Belmont, MA. She is survived by her husband John Adelman of Woods Hole, MA; brothers and sisters Jeffrey, Jean Colbath, Paul, and Denise McGee.

Jane lived a life dedicated to her family, friends, her artistic talent and her work. She and her husband have lived in Woods Hole, MA for 37 years where she worked at the Steamship Authority until her retirement in 2018.

She met her husband at the Museum School of Boston and graduated from affiliate Tufts University.  A world traveler from her early school years and throughout her married life, she enjoyed people, places and flavors of cultures visited...adding to her culinary gifts cooking for friends and family. A constant reader, Jane supported the Woods Hole Library. She and her husband have been loyal and active members of the Elks for seventeen years participating in charity events and lodge activities.

A Celebration of Life Memorial for Jane will begin at 4 pm. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Falmouth Elks, 140 Palmer Ave. Falmouth, MA...Hawaiian shirts optional.
