Kenzel F. Kelly

Pocasset – Kenzel F. Kelly, 72, of Pocasset, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away surrounded by family on March 9, 2019.  He was the beloved husband of Coralie (Dwan) Kelly for 49 years.  He was born in Chelsea, MA to the late Kenzel and Sarah (Thompson) Kelly.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Sean and his wife Lori (Needham) Kelly of Plymouth, his son Brendan Kelly of Pocasset, and three grandsons; Aidan, Owen, and Garrett.  Kenzel leaves his brother, Paul and his wife Regina Kelly of Naples, FL and his sister, Patricia Rose of Marquette, MI.  He was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.   He was a caring and devoted friend and always reached out to everyone he met.

He worked for Global Chelsea Terminal for many years before retiring to the Cape five years ago.  Going to work was not a job for him.   It was an opportunity to make a contribution resulting in improvements.

His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.  He was always involved with his sons every activity, attending every game and school event and coaching some of their teams. He particularly enjoyed doing projects with them around our house and for others.  He continued this with his nephews and nieces when they were young and with their children  Later, when blessed with three amazing grandsons, his life was filled with spending time with them planning their days together, completing projects and getting things done, always with special breaks and trips to their favorite restaurants.

He lived a life of service and support to his family and friends and worked every day in pursuit of that goal.

Relatives and friends may visit with Kenzel’s family on Friday, March 15th at the  Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth  Hwy (Route 28A), WEST FALMOUTH from 4 until 7 PM.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16 at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Rd, Pocasset.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in his name to Toys for Tots, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172 (toysfortots.org).
