Margaret E. Wood

1937 ∼ 2019

Margaret E. Wood, 81, of Parkman, ME and formerly of Bridgewater died on January 28, 2019 at home in the care of her husband Richard after a long illness.  She was born in Brockton and was the daughter of the late Warren and Mary (Teed) Powers.  Margaret drove school buses in Bridgewater and was a supervisor at Dutchmaid Fashions for many years.  She finished her working career in the Insurance industry retiring from Aetna Insurance.    

Margaret enjoyed quilting, camping, fishing, and hunting with her husband Richard.  She loved to travel and obtained her pilot’s license to fly planes.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Wood of Parkman, ME; her children, Darlene DiVincenzo and her husband James of Taunton, Denise Cabral-Bumpus of Bridgewater, and Warren Wood and his wife Ann of Middleboro.  Margaret is also survived by her sister, Barbara Dutrum and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her sisters, Jeanette Irving and Irene Godfrey.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 10-12 PM at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater with a service at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Central Cemetery in Halifax.
