Marilyn F. Palmer

Marilyn F. Palmer of Falmouth passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 12 at Royal Megansett Nursing Home in North Falmouth.  She was 92.

Born in East Falmouth to Clarence and Helen Reynolds in 1926, Marilyn was a life-long resident of Falmouth.  She was married to the late Russell C. Palmer, also of Falmouth, the owner and operator of Cape Cod Bus Lines.

A loving mother, Marilyn was a well-known gardener at her Queen Street home, winning several awards.  Once her children were raised, she volunteered for over twenty-five years at the Falmouth Hospital Gift Shop, where her hand-knit sweaters, caps and blankets for new born babies were a favorite.  For the past twelve years, she enjoyed her many friendships within the Dillingham Place community.

Marilyn loved the beach and cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by her six children and their spouses/partners:  Melanie McDonald (Rob) of Seekonk, Diane Soderland (Carl) of Ipswich, Wanda Stetson (John Davis) of Burlington, VT, David Seeley (Kathleen) of Natick, Linda Cannata (Tony) of Mashpee, and Joel Seeley (Brigitte) of Stow, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a future date.
