Martha Jane Pinard

1917 ∼ 2018

Falmouth – Martha Jane Pinard passed away on December 23, 2018, just hours short of her 101st birthday.  Born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Herbert and Eleanor (Lambert) Stocker, she married Maurice Pinard in September 1942 enjoying 74 years of marriage! They raised their family on the beaches of Swampscott and Marblehead, and the Stocker Riverside Park in Saugus was dedicated to her grandfather. Upon retirement they moved to Osterville and spent many long hours on their boat anchored at Sampsons Island.  Predeceased by husband, Maurice, who lived until 99 years, and survived by sons, Paul Pinard and his wife Karen of Osterville and Steven Pinard and his wife Catherine of Florida, 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.  Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption, 76 Wianno Ave., Osterville, MA and all are invited to a Memorial Luncheon Reception following the service at Wimpys, Osterville. As Martha Jane was particularly fond of her many dogs, we suggest in lieu of flowers, donations are made to MASPCA Centerville, attention Catherine Spinelli.
