Matthew J. Bourgeois

Matthew J. Bourgeois, 50, recently of North Falmouth, passed away on February 1, 2019. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Matt grew up in California and Cape Cod, graduating from Bourne High School in 1985. He received a B.A. from Babson College in 1989. He was the president and proud owner of Fern Engineering in Wareham, MA. While he lived all over the country, his heart belonged to Dallas, TX.  Matt loved to travel and spend time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Cindy Keary and husband Ted Keary of North Falmouth; his father, Hector S. Bourgeois and wife Elaine I. Babineau, of Falmouth; his sister, Renee Bourgeois and husband Brian Eng of Portland, ME; two step-brothers, Brian Babineau and wife Kate of Lexington, and James Babineau and wife Alison of Providence RI; and his 4 nephews and 3 nieces. He also leaves behind many beloved friends, which were also like family to him, including: David and Ellen Long; David and Susan Newcombe, Mike and Sara LeBrun, and Craig and Helena Jones.

Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9th at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Bulfinch Place 2nd Fl., Boston, MA 02114 (www.wish.org).
