Paul Joseph Rano

1979 ∼ 2019

Paul Joseph Rano of West Yarmouth passed away on January 4, 2019 at Cape Cod Hospital after a long illness.

He graduated from Blackstone Valley Regional Technical High School.  Paul earned both bronze and silver medals in automotive competition with V-Tech of which he was very proud.  Paul spent his career working as an ASE certified master auto mechanic.

He is survived by his mother Audrey Rano-Porter and step father Robert Porter of West Yarmouth, his father Joseph Rano, his sister Christina Rano and her son Anthony.  He was predeceased by his brother Anthony “Tony” Rano and his grandmothers Claire Holden and Tilly Addison. Paul is also survived by his grandfather Paul Holden as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Paul was very generous and kind to all those he met.  He put others before himself and was always there when someone needed him.  He found peace in fishing which he loved and was on the water whenever he could.  He especially loved and cared for his family who meant everything to him, as he did to us.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 10th at noon at St. John’s cemetery in Worcester.
