Peter F. Rae

WEST FALMOUTH - Peter Francis Rae, born February 10, 1953, passed away after a long illness on June 4, 2019 at the age of 66.

Peter grew up in Woodside, New York, and graduated from Power Memorial Academy in New York City. He moved to Cape Cod in 1992 and resided in West Falmouth for 25 years. Peter worked for the United States Postal Service and retired after 41 years of service. He was a long-standing member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid New York Yankees and New Orleans Saints fan. Peter loved music, sports, Spectacle Pond, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed sending postcards to his family and friends, which included his signature closing remark, “Stay Experienced, AllRaes.”

Peter is survived by his son Brian Rae and his wife Tatiana Rae, and daughter Jennifer Rae, their mother Karen Rae, brother James (Bonnie) Rae, sister Veronica (James) Delevan, niece Melinda (Chris) Fasano, nephews Ryan and Rob Rae and Joseph Whitaker, and many cousins.

Peter was predeceased by his father James I. Rae, mother Veronica A. Rae, brother Joseph C. Rae and sister Regina M. Whitaker.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7pm on Monday, June 10th at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, June 11th, also in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
