Philip John DeNardo

Philip John DeNardo, 90, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital on January 27, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Marie DeNardo and son of the late Philip and Anna DeNardo.

Philip graduated from Passaic High School in New Jersey. He served in the United States Army in Korea. He worked as a linotype operator at the Paterson News in Paterson, NJ for many years, and later as a property manager for First Winthrop Corporation for five years until retirement. Philip also served as a Captain on the Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Waldwick, New Jersey. He enjoyed golf, carpentry, playing cards and most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his loving wife Marie, Philip is survived by two children, Stephen DeNardo and wife Deborah of Stamford, CT, Patricia Cabana and husband John of West Barnstable, 5 grandchildren, Matthew DeNardo and wife Natalie, Jennifer Galpin and husband Eric, Carli, Zachary, and Alex Cabana, 3 great grandchildren, Ella, Kaitlyn and Liev and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee, on Thursday January 31, 2019 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Church 3 Job’s Fishing Rd. Mashpee, on Friday February 1, 2019 at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA, 01701 or to Cape Cod Hospital, 27 Park Street, Hyannis, MA  02601.
