A. David Swartz, Jr., of Hanson, peacefully passed away on November 1, 2020, at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham, surrounded by his loving wife and children.  David was born in Chelsea, graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton, and was a long-time resident of East Bridgewater.

David worked for many years as a sales representative for Perlick Corporation, a bar and restaurant equipment manufacturer, covering the New England area.  His customers knew David as reliable, hard-working, and conscientious, and he successfully grew his business while making many friends in the industry.

David’s main priority, though, was his family, with whom he made many wonderful memories.  David met the love of his life, Denise, when he was fifteen years old.  They married four years later and spent fifty-five years together.  David and Denise were not only husband and wife, they were best friends.  Whether planting flowers together in their yard, going for drives in a new “toy” car, or just chatting for hours on their porch, they were committed to each other and enjoyed every moment together.  Denise loved her honey with all of her heart - he is the love of her life and she will love him "until forever."

David was incredibly proud of his children, Kristina, Jonathan, and Ryan. He taught his children to live with kindness, character, and integrity, and to keep a sense of humor along the way.  He was always supportive of his children and would do anything for them, and enjoyed seeing their accomplishments and the adults they became.  David’s children loved and cared for him and are thankful for the friendship, laughter, and love they shared.

As David said, he was grateful for the wonderful and fantastic life he lived because of his family - he had it all.  His legacy will carry on through his children and grandchildren and will never be forgotten.  His family loves him and will miss him dearly.  “At some point in time all our souls will once again be joined.”

David is survived by his beloved wife, Denise A. Swartz, of Hanson, daughter, Kristina N. Coffey, and her husband, Craig J. Coffey, of Cohasset, son, Jonathan D. Swartz, and his wife, Tracy N. Swartz, of Abington, son, Ryan J. Swartz, and his wife, Monica P. Swartz, of Reading, grandchildren, Dylan J. Coffey, Sadie N. Coffey, Alexis T. Swartz, Alana L. Swartz, Asha C. Swartz and Alexander M. Swartz, parents, Arthur D. Swartz, Sr. and Irena Swartz, of Bridgewater, brothers, Frederick W. Davison, of Cohasset, and Edward Swartz, of Brockton, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by Denise’s parents, Roger H. Bessette and Lucille (LaCouture) Bessette, and his sisters-in-law, Kim Bessette and Lucy Bessette.
