A. Eloise Pouliot

A. Eloise Pouliot passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Eloise was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerald J. Pouliot Sr., to whom she was married for 67 years, her brother John McKenna, and sister Evelyn Angell.

Eloise was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1932 to John and Hazel (McCloskey) McKenna.  She was a graduate of Hope High School, Class of 1950.  She was employed for several years at Providence Washington Insurance Company as a secretary before raising her family as a loving wife and mother.

 Eloise loved gardening and yardwork.  She enjoyed bowling and was in the Thursday night bowling league at Sullivan’s Bowling for many years.  She was involved in many volunteer activities throughout her life some of which included being a member of the Y-Wives:  a group of friends who donated their time serving the elderly, the St. Vincent de Paul Society,  Meals on Wheels, and the Food Distribution Center for Migrant Farm workers in Immokalee, Florida.

 Eloise forged long-lasting bonds of friendship and remained in contact with her close friends until the end of her life.  Davida D’Abate was especially dear to her and her daily phone calls meant so much to Eloise.

 She is survived by her three children:  daughters E. Debra Gervelis, Laura Pouliot and her husband Ron Wheaton, and son Gerald J. Pouliot, Jr. and his wife Cindy.  She leaves seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

 Heartfelt gratitude to the outstanding Broad Reach Hospice staff with special thanks to Jan and Julie, who provided Eloise care with dignity and compassion.

Calling hours will be omitted and burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eloise’s memory to the Broad Reach Hospice and Palliative Care at 390 Orleans Rd, North Chatham, Ma, 02650.
