Adam E. Downey

Adam E. Downey, 27, of Mashpee, has left us unexpectedly on December 24, 2016. He was the son of Meg Lefebvre, Frank and Missy Downey.

Adam graduated from Sandwich High in 2007. He attended Cape Cod Community College and graduated from Bridgewater State University with a major in Communication. He was a Landscaper for Maffei Landscaping for many years. Adam loved going to concerts, listening to music, the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hiking, or just simply being in his backyard lighting bonfires with friends and family. He was also a Patriots fan and loved movies. He loved traveling with his family especially to Disney. He was a loving son, brother and friend and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by 7 siblings, Taylor Downey of Mashpee, Patrick Hurley of Plympton, Matthew, John, Michael, Daniel, and Jacob Hurley of Mashpee, his cherished nephew Finnegan Hurley of Plympton, his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration memorial will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee, on Saturday January 7, 2017 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Adam’s GoFundMe page at www.gofundme.com/please-help-frank-and-his-family.
