Agnes F. Thomas

Agnes “Aggy” F. Thomas, 78, of Teaticket, passed away on March 21, 2020. She was born in New Bedford to the late Arthur and Mary (Amaral) Thomas.

Aggy was retired from the Falmouth Public Schools, where she had worked for over 30 years. Previously she had worked at Wright Oil, and Grants. Aggy was a staunch Boston sports fan, but her true love was for the Red Sox. She could name the starting line up from the Impossible Dream Team of 1967.

Agnes is predeceased by her sister, Madeline Baker and her niece Michelle Thomas. She is survived by her sister, Palmeida Cairns and husband Robert of New Bedford, and her brother, Arthur Thomas and his wife Kathy of Teaticket. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Michelle, Warren, AJ, and Paige Andrews, Mary Torres, Cheryl Grundy, Allison Thomas, Erin and Ben Sloan, and Ted Nixon. She was forever indebted to her close friends, Claire Demello, Vivian Kersey, Lorraine DePonte, and Gloria Souza.

A graveside service was held at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in East Falmouth on Wednesday, June 24th.
