Albert Joseph Comeau

Albert Joseph Comeau, 93, of Mashpee, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 10 at the Royal of Cotuit Nursing Home after a long illness with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was born in Lynn, MA one of 13 children of Alfred and Marguerite Comeau.

During WWII he served with pride aboard the USS Providence. He later worked at Polaroid and studied at night for plumbing. He was a master plumber and worked in Newton and the local areas of the Cape. In 1951, joined the Newton Fire Dept and retired from there in 1988 with 32 years of service. Al loved his Sox, Bruins and Patriots.

He leaves his wife, Jacqueline (Phipps) Comeau and stepson Harry Cliff of Mashpee, his son Scott Comeau of York Beach, ME. He was predeceased by his son Robert Comeau.  Burial at Bourne National Cemetery is private.
