Alice G. Moniz

Alice G. (Duchesney) Moniz 89, of Falmouth died November 21, 2018 at the Wingate of Harwich. 

Alice was the beloved wife of the late Walter Moniz.  They were married for 67 years

Alice was born in Hyannis, daughter of the late Gertrude (Cash) and Charles Duchesney.  She was a lifelong resident of Falmouth.  She was devoted to her family and enjoyed winters in Florida and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alice is survived by her sons Walter Moniz, Jr. and his wife Susan, of Chadds Ford, PA, Wayne S. Moniz and his wife, BJ, of East Falmouth, and Kenneth Moniz and his wife, Nicole of Harwich.  She was blessed to have 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. . She was predeceased by her son David G. Moniz.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 9:30am till 10:30am in the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street Falmouth. A eulogy will begin at 10:45am in St. Patrick Church 511 Main Street followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
