Alipio H. Simons

1939 ∼ 2020

Alipio H. Simons Jr., 81, of Centerville, passed away on November 9, 2020. Al is the son of the late Alipio H. Simons Sr. and Mary Gardner Simons.

He grew up in Falmouth, MA, received an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. Al loved his family, animals, and cars, he was always finding one to restore. His favorite sport was hockey and he enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins play and coaching his son’s youth hockey teams in Peterborough, NH. Most recently, his favorite pastime included walking his beloved dog Scampi on the beach in Centerville where he resided with his wife Elizabeth for the past nine years.

Al is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Simons, his sons, Jeff S. Simons and his wife Rebecca of Auburn, AL, and William F. Simons and his wife Cheryl of Bedford, MA, his grandchildren Nicholas and Emily Simons of Bowling Green, KY and Taylor and Cameron Simons of Bedford MA. A brother, William J. Simons of VA Beach, sisters, Victoria DelBono and Catherine Simons of Needham, MA, Lyn Carter and Maryann Lorson of CA, and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Broadley, Cecelia Simons, Bernadette White, Evelyn Metcalf and Gloria Simmons.

Services and burial will be private.
