Alvida Willson

Alvida “Vee” Willson, 85, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, surrounded by her children. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Willson. Born in Falmouth, 1 of 23 children, to Joseph and Marie (Correia) Romiza.

She leaves behind her 3 children, Donald, Keith and Fawn Marie Willson, all of Falmouth; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves her surviving 3 siblings, Manny and Johnny Romiza, and Irene Ray, all of Falmouth.

As a military wife for 25 years, Vee raised her children, traveling from North Dakota to Turkey. She loved gardening, cooking and painting. Vee was loved by all who knew her.

There will be visitation from 9-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 28 at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A burial service will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, PO Box 202, Franklin, MA  02038 (www.mbcc.org).
