Andrew M. Wilson, 49, of East Falmouth passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020.
Andrew was born on March 17, 1971 in Brighton, England. He received his BSc degree from Imperial College, London, England. He went on to obtain his Chartered Accountancy (ACA) qualification, was an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and pursued a very successful career in finance. He was a finance executive for several prestigious companies which enabled him to travel the world for both business and pleasure. These travels eventually brought him to the US. He moved permanently to the US in 2004 and proudly became a US citizen in 2011.
In 2015 Andrew moved to East Falmouth and made a career change into Real Estate. He obtained his real estate license and worked at Weichert Realtors – Donahue Partners of Falmouth and later Keller Williams Cape Cod where he was a team member of Dream International. He started his own company in 2018, First Choice Homes, LLC which was a real estate investment firm.
Andrew was an avid rugby fan and was quite an accomplished player in his youth. He had a passion for music and played the piano, guitar, and ukulele. A true “foodie” he enjoyed exotic and international foods – he absolutely loved spicy flavors and put hot sauce on just about everything! He enjoyed year-round outdoor sports and activities including skiing, windsurfing, and running – which included completing the Falmouth Road Race in 2018. He fell in love with Cape Cod and its beaches, in particular, Chappy Beach and quite enjoyed learning “the art of clam digging” as he called it and most recently saltwater fishing. He was very proud of his British heritage but embraced and was amused by “Americanisms”. He was often called “serious and professional” but those that knew him well, will remember him for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, his incredible smile, contagious laugh and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Andrew is survived by his loving partner Sandra Knight of East Falmouth; mother Elizabeth Ansell of Sydney, Australia; father John Wilson and his wife Linda of London, England; brother Timothy Wilson and sister Annabel Wilson, both of Sydney, Australia; and brother Alexander Wilson and his husband Jamie of Perth, Australia. Andrew was preceded in death by his loving brother James.
Andrew’s final resting place will be with his brother James in England.
