Andrew R. Alger, 31, of East Bridgewater passed away after a long battle with opioid addiction.

Andrew was the loving son of Richard L. Alger of Bridgewater and Karen Wall of East Bridgewater. Andrew grew up in East Bridgewater and was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School, Class of 2006. He later attended ITT Tech and worked as a carpenter . He was extremely smart, artistic, funny, talented, sometimes  quiet . He could brighten anyone’s day, always had time for his family and friends, was a whiz with computers, and loved playing video games.  

Andrew was the loving brother of John R. Wall of East Bridgewater, Lauren K. Alger of East Bridgewater, and Olivia K. Alger of Bridgewater. He was the loving “Unka” of Savannah and Valerie, and was the proud grandson of Richard L. Alger Sr. of FL, the late Katherine Dedman  , and the late Robert Rydstrom and Sandra Gruchy. and many aunts, uncles and cousins .

Family and friends are cordially invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Sat. Oct. 13. Visitation will be from 12pm to 2pm with a short service starting at 2pm.
