Anne C. Kennedy

HARWICH - Mrs. Anne C. (Nancy) Kennedy died on June 8, 2018, in Harwich Port, MA.  She was born in Nahant and was a resident there for most of her life.  She moved to the Cape 17 years ago.

The daughter of John and Josephine (Johnson) Clune, she was a direct descendent of the Joseph Johnson family of Nahant.

As a Registered Nurse Anesthetist, she worked in that capacity for 30 years at Lynn and Union Hospitals.

Mrs. Kennedy was an active member of the Sodality at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, the Nahant Historical Society and the Beautification Committee.

Nancy loved to travel and Alaska, Ireland, Europe and Africa were among many places she visited.  One of her favorites was a Mississippi River Boat Cruise.

She leaves four children, Joan Kilbourne and Robert Kennedy of Harwich, Martha Mendes of Mattapoisett, and John Kennedy of Nahant.  She also leaves four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Nancy was predeceased by her granddaughter, Molly.  She was also the sister of the late Jane Dance of Naples, Florida.

Her visitation will be held at the Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main Street, Harwich Ma, from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 followed by a funeral Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Nahant at 11:30 on Saturday, June 16th and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
