It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce Bailey Joseph Flaherty, age 24, of East Bridgewater, passed away suddenly on August 4, 2020 at Brockton Hospital.
Bailey was born in Brockton and raised in East Bridgewater. A graduate of East Bridgewater High School, he also attended Massasoit Community College.
Bailey was employed as a B&B mechanic for Keolis Transportation in Boston. Bailey had a lifelong passion for sports. He played high school football, basketball and baseball, and he was an enthusiastic snowboarder and golfer. Bailey was an avid New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics fan. Bailey loved being active and outdoors. Bailey was a loyal and true friend as evident by his large, close knit group of friends, known as the E.B. Hub. Bailey was his father’s best friend and remained his father’s most loyal and ardent supporter.
Bailey was a loving, devoted father who leaves behind his daughter, Zoey Rose Flaherty. He is also survived by his partner Krystal Thomas of Middleboro, brother Thomas J. Flaherty of East Bridgewater, and parents Daniel J. Flaherty of Falmouth, and Rachel Flaherty and her fiancé Michael Casey of East Bridgewater and Tara L. and Michael Wendt of Hanover. Bailey is the grandson of Margaret "Nana" Flaherty of Halifax, Gerald "Grampa Jerry" Flaherty of Plymouth and Linda "Memere" & Kevin "Grampie" Glynn of Bridgewater and Nancy Cameron. Bailey is also survived by sisters Chelsea L. Martin of Braintree, Nicole E. Martin and brother Riley J. Wendt, all of Hanover. Bailey will be missed every day by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We know Bailey is now at rest with his Nana and Grampa Pierson, cousins Torrey Owens and Patrick Donaghue and is loved here on earth as well as in heaven.

Visiting hours with Covid-19 restrictions will be held in the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 98 Bedford Street Bridgewater Monday August 10th from 4-7pm.
A Private Funeral Service for Bailey will be held by his family.
