Barbara A. (Archibald) Irons, 86, of East Bridgewater passed away peacefully on November 25, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. 

Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Warren and Dorothy (Klund) Archibald and grew up in Hyde Park. She was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, Class of 1950 and married Chester Irons in 1952. The two would settle in Randolph where they raised their family. Barbara and Chester loved traveling and being with their children. She loved quilting, listening to music, cooking, being active in her church, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  

She was the loving wife of the late Chester R. Irons. She is survived by Diane Joughin and her husband Alan of Foxboro, Joanne  Landry and her husband Kevin of Florida, and Robert W. Irons of Halifax. Barbara is also survived by her sister, Ruth E. Gallagher of FL, and 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 30th at 10:00am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Main St.  Bridgewater followed by a burial at Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4-7pm at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater.
