Barbara M. Martin

1925 ∼ 2017

Barbara M. Martin of Cranston, RI & Falmouth, MA, died on Feb 19, 2017 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Ladd M. Martin. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Carrigan.

Barbara was a graduate of Classical High School and the University of RI. She worked as a business manager for over 40 years. She also worked in Real Estate and as a Librarian.  She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.

She is survived by her son, Ladd M. Martin II and his wife, Bridget of Boston; her two daughters Gayle B. Testa of Newport RI, and her late husband Arthur; and Debra Martin Desrochers and her husband Donald of Warwick, RI. She was the grandmother of Candice, Meaghan, Brendon, Kelly and Ladd III. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 22 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, MA, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Jones Road, Falmouth.
