Barbara S. (Smith) Manganiello, 74, of East Bridgewater, died peacefully on January 3rd while surrounded by her family.
Barbara was the loving daughter of the late Katherine (Blake) Smith and grew up in Randolph. She was a graduate of Randolph High School, Class of 1960 and married her sweetheart William R. (Bobby) Manganiello on June 22, 1963 at St. Bernadette’s Church. She was a devoted homemaker; however, she also worked full time. She was employed for many years at Paul A. Dever School in Taunton and later worked for over 20 years as a residential supervisor at Southeastern Residential Services, retiring in 2006.
In her younger years she loved bringing the kids camping, night fishing and trips to Duxbury Beach. In her later years, she enjoyed trips to the casino but especially loved her time with her grandchildren.
Barbara was the loving mother of Nicholas R. Manganiello of East Bridgewater, William R. Manganiello Jr. and his wife Christine of Plymouth, Paul F. Manganiello of East Bridgewater and Sheree A. Gianni and her husband Joseph of Wrentham. Proud “Nana” of Natasha, Nadina and her husband Benjamin, William III, Elizabeth, Joseph IV, Isabella and the late Adina. Great “Nana” to Kyler and sister of Andrew Smith of East Bridgewater, Andrea Matthews of Mansfield and the late Cheryl Ferrara. Also, survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Family and friends are cordially invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St. East Bridgewater on Sun. Jan 7th for a visitation from 11-1 and a funeral home service beginning at 1pm.
Burial will be held privately at Central Cemetery.

Barbara’s passion was to help save feral cats at Kitty Ranch, which is a home-based rescue.
