“I expect nothing, I fear no one, I am Free” - Benjamin Griner
Benjamin Morton Griner, 25 years old and lifetime resident of Falmouth, passed away at his home on the 27th of March after a long hard-fought battle against addiction.
His passion for life was only exceeded by his compassion and commitment to his family and friends. Following his graduation from Falmouth High School in 2012, Ben fulfilled his lifelong dream of serving his country and joined the US Army where he served as a Cavalry Scout and Airborne Ranger in the 509th Infantry Regiment. Following his service, Ben was introduced to cooking and found his calling in the culinary arts.
Ben was most at home outdoors exploring the woods or taking in the fresh sea air. His love of nature inspired him to take up photography and his talent enabled him to capture the beauty of this world so naturally. His compassionate character was evident in his kindhearted bond with animals. Ben was a truly gifted individual who will always be remembered as a genuine guy with an enormous heart.
Ben is predeceased by his Grandparents Charles M. Griner, Shirley A. Wilson, Valentine P. Wilson and Uncle Thomas S. Wilson. Ben will be dearly missed by his mother Carrie Sue Wilson and father Christopher Griner. Ben leaves behind a large loving family including his grandmother Patricia Griner, Katherine, Andrea, Heather and Laura Murphy, Laurie, Joe, Caitlin, Casey, Scott and Stephanie McNee, Steve, Karen and Eva Wilson, Erika Wilson, Jack and Mark Lemos, Holly, Steve, Will and Grace Rafferty, Max Bill and Heather Dantowitz, Annie Dantowitz, Steve Theer, Amy, Pedro, Victor, Aaron Alva, and the Morgan family Chip, Susan, Matthew, Patrick, Kent and Samuel.
