Bernardino Del Pilar Pallera

Bernardino Del Pilar Pallera, 84, of East Falmouth formerly of Brookline, passed away unexpectedly at Falmouth Hospital on December 4, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Irene Pallera and son of the late Arsenio and Anita Pallera.

Bernardino served and retired with the United States Coast Guard and with the United States Postal Service. He was a founding member of the Pilipino-American Association of New England (PAMAS) and was a parishioner of Christ the King Church. He was an avid gardener, birdwatcher, and enjoyed dancing especially with his wife Irene. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who loved and knew him.

Bernardino is survived by his loving wife Irene.  He was predeceased by his 1st wife Necifora (Nene) Pallera. Bernardino is survived by 2 children, John Pallera and wife Maura of Acton, MA, Jane Savage and husband Michael of Portland, OR, 3 grandchildren Aislinn and Bryce Pallera and Max Savage and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave (Rte151) Mashpee, on Sunday December 9, 2018 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Parish 3 Job’s Fishing Rd. Mashpee on Monday December 10, 2018 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to http://ardsglobal.org/.
