Beverly Ann Wentzel “Bev” (Stuck)

Beverly Ann Wentzel "Bev” (Stuck) died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Cape Cod September 6th, 2017 in Centerville MA at the age of 86.

Beverly is survived by her beloved husband H. William Wentzel of Mashpee; children Karen Brown and husband Dale Mougalian of Gorham ME, Diane Wentzel-Carrier and husband David Carrier of Gorham ME, David Wentzel and wife Laura Cronin Wentzel of Hyannis MA. Grandchildren, Stephen Brown, Daniel Brown, Emily Pierce, Lacie Algeo, Cory Carrier, Adam Carrier and 10 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Julius and Anna Stuck, siblings Doris Lucey, Julius Stuck III and Earl Stuck.

Beverly was born on August 29th, 1931 in Dedham MA to Julius and Anna Stuck. She graduated from Dedham High as class valedictorian in 1949 and received a scholarship to MASS Art which she attended for fashion design. She married, “Bill”, her high school sweetheart on December 7th 1952. After Bill was stationed in Europe with the US Army, they lived in Livorno Italy for two years where they welcomed their first child. They returned to the US and purchased their first home in Dedham MA, where they raised three children. Together, with partners, they started Wemco Machine and purchased Grandview campground in Rochester NH. Her children will always remember her as a creative, loving and supportive mother who made every occasion special.

Beverly was an accomplished artist, seamstress, cook, gardener and world traveler. She was a generous and kind individual whose love for family and friends was unlimited. She was an active and dedicated member of the Lutheran church where she taught Sunday school for many years.

Visiting hours and Memorial Service will be held at Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Route 151) Mashpee MA Visiting hours will begin at 10:00 am on Friday September 15th followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon. All are welcome to attend a celebration of life reception at the Coonamessett Inn, Falmouth MA from 12:30 – 4:00. Burial will be private in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
