Brian M. Spinola, of Buzzards Bay and formerly of Mashpee, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2020 at Falmouth Hospital. He was just 49 years old.
Brian, or “Pum” as he was known, was born November 24, 1970 in Wareham, MA to the late Thomas Spinola, Sr., and Diana (Gomes) Spinola. He attended Bourne High School and after graduating he began his career as a construction laborer. Brian was a member of the Local 385 Laborers’ Union. He was hard worker and always provided for his family.
Anyone who knew Brian knew that his passion in life was his children, Joseph and Jacoby were his world. He loved playing basketball with them, riding dirt bikes, and always attended their games, he was their biggest fan. Brian also enjoyed playing in a softball league. Above all, Brian’s greatest accomplishment in life was being a loving father to his boys, and he truly was.
Brian is survived by his beloved children, Joseph Spinola, of Mashpee, and Jacoby Spinola, also of Mashpee; his fiancé Mika Miranda, of Buzzards Bay; his former wife and mother of his children Suzette Peters Mattis, of Mashpee; as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Spinola, Sr., and Diana Spinola, as well as his brother Thomas “Buck” Spinola, Jr.
Visiting hours will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (RTE 151), in Mashpee. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Old Indian Cemetery, Mashpee. Please notice that appropriate COVID-19 protocol will be observed including the requirement of face masks, social distancing, and possible wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity.
