Carol L. McAdams of Dover, NH, daughter of the late George Fonseca and Katherine Fonseca (Roche) passed away in Falmouth on Thursday, November 2, 2017. She was born in Acushnet, MA on January 8, 1937. On October 4, 1958 she married William P. Henrique (deceased), which ended in divorce in 1982.
She leaves three sons, Thomas Henrique of East Falmouth, Christopher Henrique and wife Genevieve of East Falmouth, and Scott Henrique of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren: William and friend, Lillian, Thomas and friend Cara, Brooke and husband Nicolas Fuccillo of E. Falmouth, Elisa and husband Samuel Battles of Forestdale; two great grandchildren, Ethan Henrique of E. Falmouth and Braydon Walker of Falmouth. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Stevens.
She attended Falmouth schools and Massachusetts School of Physiotherapy in Boston, studying to be an x-ray technician. She married Raymond E. Libby of E. Falmouth who passed away Jan. 16, 1996 and left four step-children: Susan Zavala and husband Jay of E. Falmouth, Lynn Pietryka and husband Paul of Sandwich, Cheryl Steele and husband Michael of E. Falmouth, and Patrick Libby and wife Sandy of Merrimack, NH.
She worked at the Falmouth Medical Associates on Locust Street as an x-ray technician for 3 years, then worked at the Falmouth Nursing Home on Main Street taking care of medical records for 8 years.
In March of 1997, she married Lt. Com. (ret.) Charles F. McAdams. They enjoyed traveling in their RV to many states. He passed away Feb. 6, 2013, one month before their 16th anniversary.
Mrs. McAdams belonged to St. Joseph Parish of the Assumption in Dover NH, and the Red Hat Society. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She also had a love for dancing, gardening and animals.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and devoted wife. She enjoyed having her home filled with loved ones. She was well known for being a gracious host and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
A visitation will be held from 2-3 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3 PM on Tuesday, November 7 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home located at 475 Main Street, Falmouth.
