1929 ∼ 2013

Mrs. Catherine "Kay" (Cadagan) Pruyn, 83 of N. Falmouth, reunited with her beloved husband of 58 years Robert Pruyn, on Sun. March 31st.

Kay graduated Watertown HS in 1948. After many years raising her large family in Framingham, Kay helped Bob build their retirement home in Megansett. She enjoyed hosting many chaotic holiday gatherings there! Kay's sense of humor & laugh were infectious. She would laugh so hard, she'd cry! An enthusiastic crew mate, she loved sailing with her husband. They often set sail to many ports along the east coast. Her happiest moments were spent in the company of her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by her 12 children: Mr. Robert Pruyn Jr; Mr. Richard Pruyn & loving companion Deborah; Ms. Patricia Griffith; Mrs. Janet Sanderson & husband Jeff; Mr. Kevin Pruyn; Mr. Thomas Pruyn & fiancee Kathie; Mr. Philip Pruyn; Mr. Francis Pruyn & wife Frances; Mrs. Theresa Herendeen & husband John; Ms. Helen Pruyn; Mrs. Eileen Baker & husband Nick; Mrs. Margaret Kahaly & husband Brian. Kay is survived by her 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. Kay is preceded in death by her sister Mary McQuade & daughter-in-law Deborah (Turner)Pruyn.

Funeral from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 Rt.28A, West Falmouth on Thurs. April 4 at 9am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd., N. Falmouth at 10am followed by a burial at the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:30am. Visitation will be held on Wed evening from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
