Cecelia E. (Betty) (Ludovici) Crichton, 94 of Falmouth died Monday, June 12, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston on January 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Nora M. (Ryan) Ludovici.
Known to all as Betty she was the beloved wife of the late James W. Crichton . Betty and James were married on June 25, 1949 and married for 56 years until his death on May 17, 2005.
Betty was employed at The Foxboro Company in an administrative position until her first child was born at which time she became a stay at home mom.
Betty and Jim wintered many years in Winter Haven, Florida and summered in Popponessett. They were actively involved with the Jolly Fox Campers and traveled extensively with their camper. She was not one to turn down an offer for cards or bingo. Most times she only missed bingo by one number.
Jim and Betty were co-owners of Lakeview Ballroom in Foxboro, along with Jim’s brothers and wives . Their love of dancing was the perfect opportunity to continue their dance steps with a business they loved.
Betty’s greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters; Linda Allen and her husband Donald of Billerica, Susan Bernier and her husband Brian of Cotuit and Joanne Horton and her husband Thomas of North Attleboro, three grandchildren; Keith Hemmer and his wife Nicole, Christopher Allen and his wife Michele and Stacey Taft and her husband Jaime, six great grandchildren, Caleigh Allen, Hailey Taft, Teagan Allen, Benjamin Hemmer, Mackenzie Hemmer and C.J. Taft.

Visiting hours will be from 11:00 am -1:00 pm, Monday, June 19, 2017 at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave., ( at Route 151) Mashpee . Funeral service will follow immediately at 1:00 pm. Burial VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
