Cecelia M. Pacheco (Marks), 88, of East Falmouth, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Leo Pacheco for 70 years. She was born and raised in Falmouth by the late Edward and Mary (Lawrence) Marks.
Cecelia worked for Robbins Laundry during WWII and loved working in the nursing homes doing laundry and socializing with the residents. She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved David Ortiz. She never missed Rachel Ray’s cooking shows, loved to shop, and to be barefoot in the summer. What Cecelia cherished most was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. We have fond memories of her dancing in the kitchen as she listened to her favorite music, almost daily. She had unconditional love for us all. We will forever miss her smile.
In addition to her husband, Leo, she leaves behind her 7 children: Mary Jane Costa, John Wayne Pacheco, Robert S. Pacheco, all of Falmouth, Patricia A. Medeiros of E. Falmouth, Charles E. Pacheco of Falmouth, Troy David Pacheco of Kentucky, and Suzy Pacheco of E. Falmouth; her grandchildren: Carl Gonzalves, Jr., Donye, Nicholas, and Marcus Gonsalves, Kristen H. and Brian L. Costa, Jennifer Pacheco, Jacklyn Hiserodt, Maya Pacheco, Alexis Bensky, Crista-Cecelia Pacheco, Dawn Pacheco, Robert S. Pacheco Jr., Suzanne Dutra, Roger A. Medeiros, Emily Pacheco and Katie Pacheco. She also leaves her sister, Mary Hunt of Drain, Oregon, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Albert, John, Celstine, Tony, and Edward Marks, Delia Costa and Alice Costa.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7 at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy, East Falmouth. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
