Christine A. Golob

Christine A. (MacLean) Golob, 80 of Bridgewater and formerly of Boston passed away on July 9, 2017 surrounded by her family.  She was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Elsie M. (Bartlett) MacLean and the loving wife of the late Lawrence J. Golob.

Christine was born and raised in Boston and worked as an LPN at the Paul A. Dever State School for special needs in Taunton for 20 years prior to her retirement.  After she retired Christine volunteered at Good Samaritan Medical Center and was very active with the Bridgewater Senior Center.  Christine had a heart for dogs and most recently adopted her last poodle from Toy Poodle Rescue.

Christine is survived by her children, Robert L. Doyle and his wife Peggy of Raynham, David M. Doyle of New Hampshire, Patrick J. Doyle and his wife Lynne of Bensalem, PA, Debra M. Golob of Brockton, Christine A. Torres of Bridgewater, and Lawrence R. Golob of Florida.  She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Christine was predeceased by her brothers, Harold J. MacLean, James E. MacLean, and Donald J. MacLean.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10 AM at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater.  Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Toy Poodle Rescue, P.O. Box 274, Dover, MA 02030.
