I will always remember the countless hours riding bikes in the driveway and playing baseball in the field. The treehouse was amazing as well and I vividly remember my brother falling off the top of the ladder and the broken arm. Mr Gausz was always working - that snapper ride on must have had a million hours on it. No one took better care of the yard. I also remember the hornets nest in the barn and learned my lesson - never poke at one! The pond was the place I learned to skate and we had loads of fun. Great memories!

Al was a good friend to me during many visits to his and Lois's home in Harwichport. Highlights were always going crabing and Al was an expert at it and I always enjoyed Lois's delicious cooking. We both shared a passion for performing music. In 2011 my drummer flew me up to Chatham airport and I asked Al and Lois for their daughter Jan's hand in marriage at their home. Jan and I were wed in 2012. Al gave her away and we Jan and Al and Lois and I danced to that lovely song "It Had to Be You". Al lived a full life and he will be missed by all of us.
