Allan and Joe, May I express my sympathy and sadness for your father's passing. I feel honored to have known both your parents and hope you and your families have many, many memories of them both for a very long time to come. Buddy could certainly put the fear of God on me but he had that certain twinkle in the eye that let you know he would do right by you. On one of my last visits to his shop after we chatted he said 'come back and say hello' and I just felt he knew I respected and appreciated his service to our country and his dedication to his community. Thank you Buddy, thanks for all those things....

Buddy got my Olds 88 through a number of inspections when I was a kid. Later on we would start talking about the town parks and hold up the inspection line. He told my Mom he would keep her 25 year old Chevy on the road, and, he did. Great guy.
