He was a man's man, who's word was true and his opinion was voiced but someone who understood everyone's opinion mattered. He would listen, maybe disagree but always end with a smile, a hug or words of encouragement. When David left us he took a piece of all of us with him that can never be replaced. His kind inviting smile, never ending witty, calm and caring presence will always be how we remember him. He was a constant reminder of how good we have it no matter how bad the situation could be. David was a true American hero who loved life and lived it to the fullest at he same time making sure to let you know every time it was OK to be yourself. Nothing can replace his smiling face or up beat attitude in our lives. We have lost one of the greatest people in the world who was my friend for over 35 years. May we all strive to achieve the happiness and greatness that David enjoyed every day. RIP, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, GOD SPEED US ARMY SGT (RET) David A. Pina.
