On behalf of the Barnstable Newcomers Bowling, we were saddened to hear of Doris's passing. She was one of the original "founders" of the bowling club and also one of the most active and involved. She will be missed by all.

As Doris's neighbor (#15) for nearly 15 years I wanted to let you know how kind she was to us. We would mow the front of her yard, street side and she always thanked us with a gift certificate for ice cream or something similar. She was a wonderful neighbor, always with a smile and wave when we saw her, and we will miss her. Will definitely be toasting to her in the coming weeks. Please call me if I can be of any assistance to you. Julie 508-736-2696

A hearty salute to Doris. Our neighborhood is certainly sadder without her ever present smile. We will, indeed, toast to our good friend and miss her very much.

Alyssa- I just read that your grandmothers house was sold. I had no idea she had passed! I’m so sorry. When my kids were little we enjoyed many days with her at Mystic Lake Beach. And many mornings on my way to work she would pull out out in front on my on Cinderella and we would spend a very long a cautious drive in Hyannis!!!!!! Such a wonderful woman.
