Dear Janet, Liz, Laura, Andrew & Bran, and Kellan, Morgan and I are so very sorry Peter passed away. He was one of the gentlest souls, who touched so many with his quick wit and I so enjoyed chatting health care changes with him over the years since getting to know your wonderful family. I was one of those hundreds of lives who were touched by Dr. McKay and was sad to hear of his passing. He was my Physician for many years and took on my Mother as a patient in her last years. I always appreciated not only his medical expertise but his compassion, interest and yes, his humor. He never hurried our visits and I always felt truly heard. I am blessed to have known him. Deep sympathy to his family for their loss. All the best, Janet Treanor

Dear Family of Dr. Peter McKay, I first met this wonderful man when he began offering Botox and other treatments. He then accepted working at my MedSpa in Monument Beach and we became fast friends. My husband, myself and then my elderly Mom all became patients of this good Doctor. He was and always will be considered the best doctor I ever had the privilege of having as my Doctor. His incredible wit and genuine caring for all those of us who walked into his office was such a gift to us all. I loved the way he lit up when talking about his beloved family, just bursting with pride! Please accept our sincere condolences, Charlene and Bob Mastromatteo

My husband Tom and I moved to the Cape in 2016 and I met Dr. McKay a year later when he took me on as his patient. Every time I saw him for an appointment, I noted his professionalism, friendliness and knowledge of various other medical services in the area. As newcomers, we very much appreciated his medical care of us. During one of my appointments, I happened to notice a framed photo on Dr. McKay's office wall. It looked to me like it was taken of Ouray, Colorado, and he confirmed that indeed it had been. After a brief conversation we found we both very much liked Ouray and the whole area, where years ago we both had frequently visited and vacationed with our families. That photo is still hanging in what was Dr. McKay's office and seeing it brings back warm memories of him. RIP Dr. McKay!

In today's world that seems to be a rare commodity, and makes one appreciate it all the more when found. My condolences to his family. He was a gem!
