It was years ago when I last saw my cousin Gladys. She was at her father's (my Uncle David's). Both of us had young boys then. We spent some time reconnecting, and this is what I remember most: We really liked each other. Gladys was very funny and very kind. I knew she was strong and true. Farewell for now, dear cousin. I know how very much you were loved.

Gladys was my husband's cousin, Daniel Caplin. We only had the pleasure of meeting twice. She was very accepting, caring, and fun to talk with. It was very apparent how much she loved her family. My deepest sympathies to all who loved her.

I have so many happy memories of Gladys; mostly parties - happy family times. Whether it was at her house, her mother Joan's, her son Josh's, road trips up to Vermont - I can honestly say these were some of the happiest times of my life, of which Glady was a cherished part. I'll miss you, Glady! All my love, Dougie x

Such a horrible thing to happen to such a lovely sunny person. Gladys always looked after us so well on our trips to Onset. I will always remember her shy cheeky smile that lit up her face; her sense of humour, quietly delivered and to the point; her love, care and support for her ma and her children; and her fruit dip. Sending lots of love to all her family, but especially Josh, Benny, Jessie and John, and Joan xx
