Long before we had the pleasure of meeting Jim, John had the pleasure of having Jim's father as a professor at Colgate University. A few years later, the Sussek family and the Blackmore!s happened to be vacationing at Colgate Camp on Sarranac Lake at the same time. Fast forward about forty years, Jim approached me at a cocktail party in Nantucket, introduced himselfui and paid recognition to whom I was. Ever since, whether on the golf course or the many parties on island or the waiting room at the airport, we bonded more and more because of Jim's friendliness, his wit and humility. Marie and I are deeply saddened by his loss of life, so young and so alive as we remember him. Our hearts go out to Josette and we send our deepest sympathies.
