I have known Nate my whole life and have felt so much love from him. Many a time I’ve gotten to spend an evening together and wish I had seen him more. It was so great to hear stories about my parents who have been gone for 17 years. I will always have Nate in my heart, and hope that some of his good nature and caring for people has rubbed off on me. Barney Zeitz

Dearest Toby, I'm so sorry to learn this sad news. It must have been your father who inspired your love of retail, and gave you your talent for it. You always spoke of him with such humor and warmth, and he will be deeply missed. My sympathies to you and all your family. With love, Ellen, Don, Jolie, Deb and David Siegel

The kindest man!! My late husband went to Nate for all of his suits and like many I brought my boys to Empire to be outfitted. In 1981 my husband died suddenly, I received a call from Nate to bring the boys in he would like to give them each an outfit for the funeral. Like I said, a very kind man!! Our prayers go out to the family, let your wonderful memories comfort you.

To Nate's Family: I was privileged to know Nate for some 60 years. When I was in college and home for the Christmas holidays Nate knew that I could use some money so he graciously hired me to work at Empire Clothing Store for him. Working with him and Eddie Zmuda was a great experience. Nate was a kind and gentle man and I enjoyed seeing him recently and getting my picture taken with him and his caretaker in front of The Gallery on Main Street. My memories of him are fond and will be everlasting. He is in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

Some of the best times of my life was working for Nate. You taught me a lot about humanity and being yourself. The attributes of a truly great salesperson and people aren’t customers as much as they are friends. You are my second father and you will always be missed and remembered in my heart. Thank you Nate
