Pat, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Dick was so special to me and so many others he touched in the fly fishing community. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Dick, I'm so fortunate to have been able to call you my friend and spend many days on the water together. Tight lines until we meet again my dear friend.

I never had the honor of meeting "Bonefish Dick" in person but have followed his writings for many years on our fishing website. His amazing style of writing made me feel like I was alongside on Cape Cod and Sanibel beaches and his advice helped me be a better fisherman. I can't recall his ever having a nasty comment toward anyone on our site. May God keep him and may he rest i peace after his battle. With much sorrow, and my deepest condolences to family and friends, I remain, Lou Mauriello (Spigola from SOL)
