Concepcion “Connie” Colón

Concepcion “Connie” Colón, 78 of Webster and formerly of South Yarmouth, passed away at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston on June 10, 2020.  She was the former spouse of Miguel Colón.

Connie was born in Jayaque, El Salvador on February 17, 1942 to the late Juan Octavio Rodriguez and Josefa Cabrera.

Connie was a woman of faith and was a devoted parishioner at both the St. Pius X parish of Yarmouth, St. Louis Church in Webster, and St. Francis Xavier Parish of Hyannis. She loved traveling and cooking, especially for her family. Her family was truly her greatest passion, raising her children was her greatest achievement, and she cherished spending time in recent years with her six grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her three children Joanna Garcia, of Houston, TX, Michael Colón, of Wareham, MA, and Madeline Michele Colón-Usowicz and husband Jim; six grandchildren, Charlotte Garcia, Michael Colón, Antonio Colón, Camila Colón, Lillian “Lily” Colón-Usowicz, and Margaret “Maggie” Colón-Usowicz; her sister Hilda Villalobos; her brothers Aris Rodriguez, Hector Cabrera, and Juan Cabrera; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by five of her siblings, Jorge, Blanca, Jose, Dina, and Hugo.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (RTE 151), Mashpee. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 9:30 AM at Christ the King Parish, 3 Job’s Fishing Rd., Mashpee. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Centerville.
