Constance E. Boyan

Constance (Connie) Boyan of West Dennis, Massachusetts, passed away on June 30, 2020 after a glorious life of laughter and joy, primarily driven by her three loves:  family, Cape Cod and Boston sports.  Connie was born and raised in Medford, Massachusetts and summered on Cape Cod.  Connie was drawn to the Cape by the cool, crisp, ocean air and the easy seaside lifestyle, that stretched the summer ambiance into the shoulder seasons.  She loved the Cape so much that she eventually made the long commute to downtown Boston on the 5:30am bus from West Dennis and back each day. This is where Connie enjoyed life.

On the bus, or at home, and late into the evening, Connie was always listening to sports news, sports talk radio or watching her favorite teams: the Red Sox, the Patriots, the Bruins and the Celtics.  She was an ardent fan and knew the names of all of the players and followed their progress in great detail.

Connie’s parents, Mildred Wadsworth Boyan and William L. Boyan preceded her in Heaven.  Connie had a temperament that made her easy to be with and a family favorite.  She will be greatly missed by, and is survived by, 22 Boyan family members, including her baby brother, William L. Boyan Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Boston, Nahant, and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, her niece, Claudia of Boston, and 4 nephews, Craig, and his wife, Elise, of San Antonio, Texas,  Bill, and his wife, Sara, of Bethesda, Maryland, Scott, and his wife, Maria, of Isla Mujeres, Mexico, and Todd, and his wife, Christine, of Plantation, Florida.  Connie enjoyed her golden years attending various parties and celebrations with her grand nieces and nephews: John, Hailey and Grace, Allie and Carly, Mia, Ana Sofia, William and Scott, and Rachel and Jack.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday July 9th at 11 AM at Saint Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
