Dana Paulette (Shafer) Milne

Dana Paulette Shafer Milne, born May 17, 1971 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania passed away on December 29, 2017 at her home in West Bridgewater, MA.

Dana was the daughter of Tim and Arlene Shafer of Huntingdon, PA.  She was the loving mother of her three daughters, Lillie Milne, Sophie Milne, and Ella Milne.  She was the sister of April Blackie of Altoona, PA, Matt Shafer of Boca Raton, FL, and Phil Shafer of Tobyhana, PA.

She graduated from Huntingdon High School, Class of 1989.  As a teen she worked at McDonalds and attended Baptist Bible College in 1990.  After college she worked as a security supervisor at Harvard Medical School and then worked for Putnam Investments in Boston, MA.  After she had children Dana was a stay at home mom for her three girls, adopting two of her girls from China.   

She was active in her church and her passion was missionary work and travel.  Dana went on many mission trips to China, France, Kenya, Philippines, Burma, and Jamaica.  She home schooled her daughters and took them on field trips sometimes taking their grandmother, Arlene along.  She was a great cook and homemaker.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 429 Monponsett St., Hanson at 11:00 AM with a visiting hour from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater.
